____ IS LIFE®:
BRANDING, IDENTITY, and INTERIOR

A bright illuminated sign on a building with the words '___ IS LIFE®' partially visible, mounted on a brick wall at night.

We brewed up something special in Shiba Koen, and let’s just say—this one’s the tallest perk-me-up since Tokyo Tower. From the name and logo to the interior architecture and design, we made sure this place is dripping with style, flavor, and a whole latte love. ☕✨

A slice of toasted bread with cream cheese and a small sprig of dill on a white plate, with a steaming cup illustration and the text 'coffee is life' on a card, a gray table surface, and a pen nearby.
A collection of black-and-white drawings and words representing different concepts and objects such as a dog, coffee, sun, art, rain, lightning, bird, happy, water, car, time, fish, toast, clothes, love, bike, plant, music, airplane, heart, sunglasses, oak leaf, and microphone.

We kept the branding as bold as the coffee, with a logo that’s as sharp as an espresso shot and a name that says it all—because let’s be real, coffee is life. So we poured our heart into crafting a space that’s equal parts cozy and cutting-edge. Inspired by the retro futurism of Showa era Tokyo, we blended modern minimalism with warm, inviting textures.

Vintage audio equipment setup includes two large black speakers with white and black speaker cones on each side, a white modern audio amplifier or receiver with knobs and switches on top, placed on a small wooden table, with a plain white wall in the background.

And when it came to the interior, we dialed up the ambiance with a carefully considered mix of light, flow, and materials, making sure every corner of the space is as photogenic as the latte art. We knocked down a wall or two, and preserved the raw beauty of the space. Also, we couldn’t help ourselves but to insist the space wouldn’t be complete without a proper hi-fi set up.
